We planned a 9-day trip overseas for my (Brittney) 32nd birthday and had to cancel super last minute in light of the COVID-19 news (like the morning before we left 😢). Y'all we were so heartbroken 💔. We had been planning this trip for months and were sooooo looking forward to taking a break from the 9-5 life and traveling which is our true passion. With the media being filled with grim news of the devastating impacts of COVID-19 we have to put things in its proper perspective. In the end, all we can really do is be exceedingly grateful for our health, our jobs, and the love and support from our family and friends during this time. Not to mention the many brave and self-sacrificing essential workers during this time. THANK YOU!!! We are praying for you daily and for the rapid recovery and health of our country and every country that has been affected. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Instead of pouting around the house, we decided to make the best out of our "staycation" and go visit places in Miami we've never been before and I'm so glad we did! Hey travel fam! We're finally releasing our cinematic video on the very beautiful coastal city Panama. In May of 2019, Matt and I found a great flight deal to this central American gem and couldn't resist the chance to adventure to Panama, a place we heard so much about. First, I must start off by saying that of all the Spanish speaking countries we visited in 2019 Panama city was by far the most developed. Panama is a very fast paced city with so many sky scrapers it resembles a mini New York city. In fact, the Tocumen International airport (the airport we flew into) is the busiest airport with the most flights leaving in/out of Central America. Not to mention the wealth of ships and cargo that flows through the Panama canal also known as "the crossroads of the world". Matt and I were very impressed with the liveliness of the city as soon as we arrived. Hey travel fam! We visited the Grand Bahama island early this summer in May and this video was recently posted right before hurricane Dorian hit in the Northern Bahamas region. Our hearts are heavy seeing the storms devastating effects on the island and inhabitants. As you can see the island is very beautiful and the people were so welcoming. We are praying for these Bahamian islands and residents. It will take much time to rebuild after many homes, shops, and ports were destroyed by the storm. Hey guys! We're back with another adventure but this time we kept it local with one of our favorite museums in Miami... Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. This place is truly majestic and did we mention it's actually someone's home?! Yes this home belonged to James Deering (1859-1925) and was actually his winter home. Mind blown! The Italian villa inspired home was originally built between the years 1914-1922 and is truly a sight to behold. Situated right on Biscayne Bay in Miami, the main estate spans over 38,000 square feet and has 54 rooms inside. Yes 54 rooms including several bedrooms, guest suites, a library, a music room, several reception areas, a dining room, a breakfast room, a kitchen area, a courtyard, two elevators, and a lower level swimming pool under the home and let's not forget one of it's most beautiful features, the plush maze-like European inspired gardens and wildlife that surrounds the home.
